Rep. Pyrtle sworn-in to the NC House of Representatives
Raleigh, NC – Today, Rep. Reece Pyrtle was sworn in to serve District 65 (Rockingham County) in the NC House, fulfilling the term of the late former Rep. Jerry Carter.
Speaker Tim Moore said, "I am pleased to welcome Rep. Pyrtle to the North Carolina House of Representatives, and I look forward to working alongside him. He joins us from Eden, NC where he has spent 31 years on the police force and has been Chief of Police since 2009. His law enforcement and leadership experience will be a great asset here at the North Carolina General Assembly."
Majority Leader John Bell said, "I am looking forward to serving with Rep. Reece Pyrtle and welcoming him to the House Republican Caucus. He will be a great representative who will continue on the strong leadership of our former colleague Rep. Jerry Carter for the people of Rockingham County.
